Let It Rain By Nikhil Chandwani

October 23, 2013

I need rain

to blind my pain

to stay a secret

the darkness to blanket my mistakes and pain

the thunder to resonate my screams

the lightening to kill me me on fire

Please, let it rain.

I need to escape

to feel the earth beneath my legs

to feel the wind in my hair

the darkness to hide my captor

the thunder to clap in approval

the lightening to sever my shackles

Please, let it rain.

I need to develop

to rise my life

to thrive and cultive

the death to blind this negativity

the thunder to ward off any upcoming sorrows

the lightening to strike in my defence

Please, let it rain.

I need to die

for someone to weep for me

for someone to miss me

the darkness to rhyme with my absence

the thunder to resonate my cry through your ears

the lightening to flash images of me before your eyes

Please, let it rain.
